Schools Recommendation Schemes

How your school rates you

When UAC receives your SRS application, your school principal will be emailed a link to access your details. They will then advise their nominated staff member to rate you according to your aptitude in different areas.

You will be assessed based on your Year 11 studies and your school's rating of your aptitude in four areas.

Your school will rate you according to their assessment of your:

  • capacity for abstract thought and analysis
  • ability to organise ideas and articulate a position orally and in written form
  • ability to work and learn independently
  • motivation to achieve long-term goals.

While UAC invites all secondary schools in Australia with SRS applicants to submit ratings, participation is optional. UAC cannot guarantee that your school will provide ratings for your application.

Each institution also has specific SRS selection criteria.
