Postgraduate applications and offers

Steps to completing your application

This space contains info and offers for future students.
To see these ads, turn off your ad blocker.
  1. Enter your personal details (including a personal email address). The name on your application must match the name on your official ID, otherwise you’ll have problems when you enrol.
  2. Provide details of your studies and qualifications (including completed secondary studies and complete or incomplete certificate, diploma and degree studies).
  3. Select up to six course preferences.
  4. Accept the applicant declaration.
  5. Pay for your application with a credit card (Mastercard or Visa) or PayPal account. Your application is not complete until you have paid.
  6. Download your application confirmation.

You can add, delete, or change the order of your courses by logging in to your application. You'll need your UAC application number and UAC PIN. You can't change your preferences by phone, letter, fax or email.

There is no charge to change your preferences and you can change them as many times as you like before the course closing dates listed in the course search.

Offers

Offers are made progressively. We'll send you an email, so it is important that we have your correct email address. This can be updated at any time via your application.

Your offer will also be recorded in your application.

Don't forget to check your email regularly for important information about your application.

Most institutions will consider your course preferences according to the order in which you list them. If you're eligible and competitive enough for your first preference at each institution, you'll be made an offer to that course and the rest of your preferences for that institution won't be considered. This means that you can receive more than one offer but only one offer at a time from each institution.

The following institutions may make you more than one offer:

  • Australian College of Applied Professions
  • Charles Sturt University
  • University of Newcastle.

The offers will be to all the courses for which you’re eligible and competitive enough.

Each institution has its own procedures for accepting your offer and enrolling. Follow the instructions in your offer email.

When you enrol:

  • the name on your official ID must match your offer letter
  • you will be asked for your Unique Student Identifier (USI).

From 2021, all students starting higher education in Australia will need to have a USI. You'll need it to access Commonwealth Government HELP loans (eg HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP).

Your USI stays with you for life and gives you access to an online record of your nationally recognised training in the form of a USI Transcript.

Check if you already have a USI (from previous vocational education or training).

Create a USI.

After you enrol in a semester 1 course, you have until the census date (usually at least a couple of weeks after the course starts) to pay your fees, sign up for a HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP loan, or withdraw without penalty from the course.
