Government projects

UAC has collaborated with the Australian Government to support its vision for lifelong learning by improving transparency and accessibility in the higher education sector.

Two key initiatives are MicroCred Seeker and Course Seeker: platforms that connect prospective students with higher education course providers.

MicroCred Seeker

MicroCred Seeker, an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Education, launched in December 2022 with the aim of connecting providers with learners, employers and industry groups to facilitate lifelong learning and meet emerging workforce demands.

The website allows learners to:

  • compare short courses using filters such as price, location and delivery mode, and create a tailored shortlist
  • understand how microcredentials can be stacked and used for credit towards a larger qualification.

So far, over 50 TEQSA-registered higher education providers from all over Australia have joined the platform, offering more than 450 courses. Providers and courses will continue to grow year on year.

In addition to developing the technical solution for MicroCred Seeker, UAC created and ran the marketing campaign.

Course Seeker

Course Seeker was built by UAC as part of the Australian Government Department of Education's initiative to improve the transparency of higher education admissions. The website aims to provide information in a consistent and comparable way to enable users to make informed decisions about future study.

The website lists thousands of undergraduate courses offered by Australian universities and other higher education providers. Learners can filter the course search by state, study mode, duration of study, study area and ATAR.
