Australian college of applied psychology

About the Australian College of Applied Psychology

At ACAP, we’ve designed a practical and interactive approach to learning that allows you to put the theory you learn into practice. Our academic staff have extensive industry experience, thorough knowledge of their discipline and an understanding of the latest work practices. We offer the full sequence of courses from diplomas to bachelor degrees, graduate diplomas and masters degrees.

A number of ACAP’s courses also enable you to put your learning into practice in a work environment while you are studying, so that you meet professionals working in the industry and build valuable experience and referees to add to your resume before you graduate.

ACAP also runs a not-for-profit psychology teaching clinic, located at our Sydney campus, which offers a range of psychological services to the community at low cost. The services provided by the ACAP Psychology Clinic are informed by current research and adhere to ethical and professional standards to ensure the quality of the services provided.

ACAP’s Sydney campus is located in Sydney’s CBD, making it easy to access via public transport and with a wide range of restaurants, cafes and retail outlets close by.

Fees and charges

Undergraduate applicants

ACAP courses are priced per subject (VET) or unit (HE) and you pay trimester by trimester, for the subjects or units in which you have enrolled. Students studying at ACAP may be eligible for the Commonwealth Government’s FEE-HELP or VET Student Loan (VSL) loan schemes that help eligible fee-paying students pay their tuition fees. These are outlined below:

  • FEE-HELP

FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth Government loan available to eligible students enrolled in one of ACAP's Higher Education courses in order to help pay part or all of their tuition fees. A 25% loan fee applies to undergraduate courses that lead to the award of a higher education diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree or a bachelor degree (pass, honours or graduate entry).

  • VET Student Loan

The Commonwealth Government’s VET Student Loans (VSL) scheme assists eligible students in approved diploma courses to pay all or part of their VET tuition fee, up to a cap of $10,000 for ACAP’s diploma course.
