Early offers provide reassurance for Year 12 students awaiting final results

13 Nov 2025

THE Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) has today released more than 15,900 early offers to Year 12 students through the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) – a record number.

SRS offers are made using criteria other than the ATAR, such as a student’s Year 11 results and school ratings, giving students an opportunity to secure a university place before their final marks are released.

Kim Paino, Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer, said the timing of the offers would be welcome for many students.

‘Now that exams are over, receiving an early offer provides students with reassurance and a clear sense of direction for next year,' she said. ‘It recognises the effort they’ve put in throughout high school and helps ease the pressure as they await their final results.’

Students will receive their ATARs at 9am on Thursday 18 December and can change their course preferences until 11.59pm that evening to be considered in the next major offer round for Year 12 students on Tuesday 23 December.
