Countdown to next round of uni offers

THE Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) is set to release the next round of offers for 2026 study on Thursday 8 January. 

From 7.30am, applicants will begin receiving offers by email, with results also available by logging into their application on UAC’s website.

While more than 41,000 offers were made before Christmas, Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer Kim Paino said, this round is highly anticipated: ‘the January offer round is especially exciting for many students, as it includes first offers for highly sought-after courses, including medicine’. 

Applicants must finalise their course preferences by 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 December to be considered for this round.

For applicants who have received an offer or are still waiting to get into their preferred course, UAC has some advice on what to do next.

For those yet to apply, there is still time – applications for 2026 study remain open until Friday 6 February – check course availability and entry requirements first.
