Undergraduate applicants and total offers by region (2016-2020)

The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) processes applications for admission to tertiary courses at participating institutions, mainly located in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Therefore, the majority of UAC's applicants are from NSW and the ACT.

The following data shows undergraduate applicants and total offers by NSW regions and other states.

2020

In 2019-20, UAC had 79,168 applicants. Of these applicants 68,436 received an offer. UAC made a total of 104,669 offers. Although applicants can receive only one offer in each offer round, they can receive more than one offer in the admissions period.

2019

In 2018-19, UAC had 75,115 applicants. Of these applicants 66,342 received an offer. UAC made a total of 101,169 offers. Although applicants can receive only one offer in each offer round, they can receive more than one offer in the admissions period.

NOTE

The 2018-19 admissions cycle was shorter than previous admission cycles. It ran from 1 August 2018 to 8 February 2019. Previous year application cycles typically opened from early August but closed in July of the following year.

2018

In 2017-18, UAC had 82,912 applicants. Of these applicants 73,316 received an offer. UAC made a total of 115,713 offers. Although applicants can receive only one offer in each offer round, they can receive more than one offer in the admissions period.

2017

In 2016-17, UAC had 89,483 applicants. Of these applicants 78,142 received an offer. UAC made a total of 103,720 offers. Although applicants can receive only one offer in each offer round, they can receive more than one offer in the admissions period.
