Admission criteria and entry schemes
Undergraduate applicants
Selection will be based on completion of an Australian Year 12 or equivalent, including the International Baccalaureate (IB).
AMPA degrees do not have an ATAR requirement.
Applicants are required to attend an audition and interview.
Applicants who have completed prior higher education study may be assessed and selected for admission if they have completed a minimum one term full-time AQF Diploma study or part time equivalent (or overseas equivalent).
Applicants are required to attend an interview or live audition or provide a portfolio of items appropriate for the course they’re applying for.
Applicants who have completed prior vocational education study may be assessed and selected for admission if they have successfully completed an AQF VET qualification Certificate IV or above (or its overseas equivalent).
Applicants are required to attend an interview or live audition or provide a portfolio of items appropriate for the course they’re applying for.
Mature-aged or post-school applicants may be admitted based on employment experience and/or an interview process. You are encouraged to apply and contact AMPA to find out how you can enter a program.
Applicants who do not meet the formal entry requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
