UAC to provide the first Australian microcredentials marketplace

14 Jul 2021

The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) is pleased to announce that it has won an Australian government grant to build the nation’s first ever marketplace for microcredentials.

Microcredentials are becoming an increasingly important part of the education and skills landscape and will be vital to an Australian workforce emerging from COVID-19 and looking to meet the challenges of the next decade.

The Microcredentials Marketplace – an initiative of the Australian Department of Education Skills and Employment – is a user-friendly technology platform that allows you to compare short courses and help you understand how they can be stacked and used for credit towards a complete qualification.

David Christie, Managing Director of UAC said, 'This project is the next important step towards a comprehensive national framework for information about and access to all kinds of education credentials. UAC is proud to be working with the Australian government and playing our part to further skill development and lifelong learning for all Australians.'
