Top marks for Year 12 uni applicants starting exams

THE Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) reports that tens of thousands of organised NSW HSC students have submitted their university applications well ahead of their final exams, which start tomorrow. UAC wishes all students the best of luck.

More than 40,000* NSW and ACT Year 12 students have so far applied through UAC for tertiary study in 2024. In addition, more than 17,600 non-Year 12 applicants have applied.

Many students have also applied directly to individual universities to maximise their chances of receiving an offer for study next year. UAC has processed another 164,000*^ applications on behalf of individual universities# for all types of students, including non-Year 12s, and for a range of courses, including postgraduate.

Kim Paino, Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer at UAC, says, ‘It’s great to see so many Year 12s have already applied through UAC. Now they can focus on doing their best in their exams.’

There’s still time to apply - applications for semester 1, 2024 are open until Friday 2 February 2024.
