Record early offers for Year 12 students

12 Nov 2020

THE Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) has released more than 15,400 offers today, a record number compared to the 11,500 offers made at the same time last year.

This includes more than 12,000 Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) offers, compared to 10,500 last year. UAC has also made more than 6,800 conditional SRS offers.

SRS early offers are usually based on criteria other than a student’s ATAR, such as their Year 11 results and ratings from their school.

Kim Paino, General Manager of Marketing and Engagement at UAC says, ‘It will be a huge relief for many students, especially this year. And with more offer rounds still to come, students should now be thinking about their final preferences as we head towards ATAR release.’

Students will receive their ATAR at 9am on Friday 18 December – the same day as their HSC results – and need to be prepared to change their course preferences by midnight on Saturday 19 December in time for December Round 2 offers on Wednesday 23 December.

For those that haven’t applied yet, there’s still time. Applications for semester 1, 2021 are open until Friday 5 February 2021, with more than 2,300 courses offered by 26 participating institutions.

For further information out applying check UAC’s website or contact Customer Service on 1300 275 822 (or 02 9752 0200 from mobiles).
