More choice for students as UAC welcomes Notre Dame

26 Jul 2021

THE University of Notre Dame Australia is set to extend its reach to NSW and ACT students with the announcement that it is joining the Universities Admissions Centre’s (UAC) centralised admissions service.

The move will allow Notre Dame to benefit from UAC’s admissions expertise and engagement with local students, while students will benefit from the convenience and additional choice of having Notre Dame’s Sydney-based courses available in the UAC application.

David Christie, Managing Director, UAC said, ‘UAC looks forward to providing Notre Dame with the trusted admissions service we have built up over many years, and heightened brand awareness among students’.

Notre-Dame has been a long-time advertiser in the UAC Guide and is making the switch to partnering with UAC at a time when the university sector is actively pursuing multiple channels of domestic student recruitment.

Notre Dame’s approach to considering the whole person during the admission process continues to remain a defining characteristic.

As Professor Selma Alliex, Pro Vice Chancellor Student Experience highlighted, 'At Notre Dame we know that students require many qualities to be successful in tertiary study and eventually in their chosen field. That is why we consider a range of academic and non-academic factors including applicants’ interests, aspirations, community engagement and co-curricular involvement.'
