Changes to dates for university offers

29 Jul 2021

FOLLOWING the announcement that the ATAR will now be released on Friday 17 December in line with changes to the NSW HSC, the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) has announced the following changes to university offer rounds for domestic and international applicants:

  • The deadline for changing preferences for December Round 2, when most offers are made to HSC students, will now be midnight on Saturday 18 December.
  • December Round 2 offers will now be released at 7.30am on Wednesday 22 December.

No other dates in 2021 have been changed and offers for Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS) will still be released on 12 November.

Information about the release of the ACT ATAR will be available from the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies.

Kim Paino, UAC’s General Manager of Marketing and Engagement says that ‘We’re committed to providing as much certainty as we can for HSC students, especially those living under lockdown and dealing with remote learning now as well. We want them to know that they will still be able to get their results and offers this year.’

As well as applying with their UAC application, students should also be considering applying through early offer schemes. Eligible students should also apply for special consideration through the Educational Access Scheme which includes if a parent or guardian has received JobKeeper or JobSeeker.

UAC is here to help Year 12s and their parents navigate their options – contact us or find more information on UAC’s website.
