Be an early bird and rest easy

22 Sep 2020

IF you’re thinking of uni next year, the early bird deadline is fast approaching. Early bird applications through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) close at midnight next Wednesday 30 September. It’s not too late to apply after this day, but the processing charge increases.

So far nearly 60,000 people have applied through UAC for undergraduate study in 2021 – more than 42,000 of these Year 12 students – choosing from over 2,400 courses.

In addition, UAC received more than 23,000 applications for the Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS), which closed on Sunday. This was a 44.59 per cent increase on SRS applications last year.

Even if you’re not sure about what you want to study, there’s no need to delay; you can change your preferences as many times as you like after you apply.

Now is the time to apply because many courses, including popular medical courses, have early closing dates.

Any questions? Simply call UAC’s friendly customer service team on 1300 275 822 (or 02 9752 0200 from mobiles).
