ATARs and offers will still go ahead for NSW HSC students

27 Aug 2021

THE Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) has confirmed its support for the changes to the NSW HSC announced today and reiterated its commitment to ensuring that NSW HSC students will still receive an ATAR, and university offers will still be made.

Kim Paino, General Manager of Marketing and Engagement at UAC says that students should be reassured that university admissions will continue to proceed in a fair and timely way.

'We are pleased that today’s announcement provides greater certainty for students and parents who are understandably anxious about completion of Year 12 and what it means for entry into university next year. UAC will now be working closely with NESA and universities to finalise arrangements for the calculation and release of the ATAR in January 2022 and the release of offers based on ATAR in January and February 2022. Those details will be communicated to schools and students and be made publicly available as soon as possible.'

In the meantime, students and parents worried about these changes can contact UAC. For general queries they can connect with us on Facebook or Instagram. For more detailed questions our call centre is fully operational on (02) 9752 0200 Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Email enquiries can be sent via our web enquiry form and Livechat is available on our website.
