Undergraduate applicants and total offers by region (2016-2023)
The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) processes applications for admission to tertiary courses at participating institutions, mainly located in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Therefore, the majority of UAC's applicants are from NSW and the ACT.
The following data shows undergraduate applicants and total offers by NSW regions and other states.
2023 |
In 2022-23, UAC had 76,306 applicants. Of these applicants 68,174 received an offer. UAC made a total of 105,488 offers. Although applicants can receive only one offer in each offer round, they can receive more than one offer in the admissions period. |

In 2018-19, UAC had 75,115 applicants. Of these applicants 66,342 received an offer. UAC made a total of 101,169 offers. Although applicants can receive only one offer in each offer round, they can receive more than one offer in the admissions period. Note: The 2018-19 admissions cycle was shorter than previous admission cycles. It ran from 1 August 2018 to 8 February 2019. Previous year application cycles typically opened from early August but closed in July of the following year. |
