Selection will be based on completion of Year 12 or equivalent , including the International Baccalaureate (IB) (unless you have undertaken tertiary study, including TAFE).

Equity adjustments

Torrens University Australia has an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) to assist applicants whose education has been disadvantaged by circumstances beyond their control for a substantial period of time. Torrens University Australia EAS applications are processed centrally through UAC.

To apply for EAS you must be able to demonstrate that your Year 11 and/or Year 12 studies have been negatively affected for a period of at least six months, as a result of circumstances beyond your control or choosing. You must also be:

  • a UAC applicant for undergraduate admission
  • an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident of Australia.

How Educational Access Schemes work

Criteria that may apply in addition to a Year 12 qualification

In addition to achieving the standard admission criteria, students may also be required to satisfy additional selection criteria, such as a personal statement, a questionnaire, and a portfolio of work, an audition, an interview or a test. These criteria are taken into account either instead of, or in conjunction with, your Your 12 qualification or equivalent.

Details on additional selection requirements are outlined in the course descriptions in the UAC course search.

Other admission options

Torrens University has a number of admission pathways, which may allow you to receive an offer for a degree or diploma even though you do not meet the published entry requirements.
