About

The Bachelor of Nursing (EN Articulation Pathway) places a strong emphasis on the nurse-patient relationship and is highly practical in its orientation.

Designed for enrolled nurses who wish to upgrade their qualifications to become registered nurses, this degree will see you undertake a high number of practical nursing experience hours over two years.

As a student you will be placed in appropriate hospital or healthcare settings for your workplace experience. The degree, which is divided into four broad study streams, uses problem-solving and an evidence-based approach to teaching. Theoretical and practical components are integrated.

Areas of study

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health, clinical therapeutics, complex care and palliation, law and ethics, leadership and governance, transition to practice, mental health nursing, public and global health, research for practice.

Students also choose one elective. Options include: Advanced mental health nursing, critical care, maternal care, paediatric nursing, palliative care, perioperative nursing, rural and remote nursing.

Practical experience

Up to 760 hours of professional workplace experiences is available for students studying nursing and provides the opportunities to apply theory to practice in a range of healthcare environments such as acute care, mental health care, primary health care and aged care.

Admission criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Completed an ANMAC-accredited Diploma of Nursing within 6 years of course commencement
  • valid and unconditional AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
Meet the minimum English Language standards set out by AHPRA
