The Bachelor of Veterinary Technology provides the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to operate as a Veterinary Technician or Nurse in Australia or New Zealand. Graduates will have a solid understanding of veterinary medicine and animal care, supported by ongoing work experience in general veterinary practice settings and comprehensive clinical skills training.
Anatomy, clinical pathology, microbiology, nutrition, radiography.
Veterinary technologists work in settings including veterinary practices and clinics, veterinary hospitals, agricultural businesses, zoos and wildlife sanctuaries.
Graduates may voluntarily register with the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia.
Professional placements foster skills in examination and diagnosis, therapeutics, pharmacy, anaesthesia, diagnostic imagery and surgery.
