About

The Master of Information and Communication Technology Advanced is aimed primarily at graduates working in the ICT industry who will benefit from an in-depth study of the organisational, economic, regulatory and socio-technical issues that arise in the implementation and application of IT, and how to effectively manage these issues.

As technology increasingly becomes more important to business performance, there is a growing demand for IT graduates with technical and business expertise. The Master of Information and Communication Technology Advanced covers the deployment, maintenance, management and organisation of IT in business.

In this two-year program, you will study core subjects in IT Governance, Security and Ethics, Programming for Social Innovation, Enterprise Architecture Design, Content Management, Project and Change Management, as well as a research project. You will also select from a range of ICT and computer science electives to gear your degree towards your interests and career goals.

Admission criteria

  • An Australian bachelor degree (or recognised equivalent) majoring in information systems, information technology, computer science or related area; and a minimum of 2 years of professional ICT experience at SFIA level 4, working in a role such as network administrator, web developer, business analyst, software engineer and systems analyst. A detailed description of the professional experience, endorsed by the applicant’s former employer, must be provided in the application. Fees and charges

This course will be offered as a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). This means the Australian government will subsidise your tuition fees by up to 75%. To be eligible for this fee subsidy, you must meet the following criteria: Be a domestic student, i.e. an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia or a permanent Australian Humanitarian visa holder.
