Courses included
UNSW offers a range of enabling courses as pathways to degree-level studies for students who would not otherwise qualify for admission.
The University Preparation Program (UPP) is an enabling program for adults aged 20 and over who either do not possess formal qualifications or whose academic qualifications do not satisfy the minimum entry criteria for admission to UNSW. The program has been designed to assess academic potential and to provide a realistic environment within which students can develop the skills to manage tertiary study effectively.
Satisfactory completion of the UPP does not guarantee admission to any specific program, but can be used as evidence of recent study when applying for admission to the University. Students choose the stream they wish to undertake when they accept their offer and enrol.
Places in UNSW's enabling courses are Commonwealth supported and, unlike bachelor programs, you are not required to pay a student contribution.
For more information, call the Learning Centre on (02) 9385 2060 or email for more details.
ATAR Profile: Some UNSW offers were issued based on the UNSW Gateway Admission Pathway with a lower ATAR entry requirement. Refer to the Admissions Information for a complete ATAR profile by degree.
