Our Bachelor of Animation is all about building your character and credentials by giving you hands-on experience in a broad range of topics related to the Animation and Computer Graphics industries, such as Character Animation, Visual Storytelling, 3D Modelling and Computer Graphics, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics, and producing a polished major project utilising your industry specialisation skills.
In preparation for an industry that commands agility and adaptability, you’ll cut your creative teeth on projects in partnership with your course peers. By the end of your course, you could be collaborating with students across all SAE disciplines.
2D and 3D character animation, 3D modeling, animation, business and leadership skills, computer-generated visual effects, drawing and composition, employability skills in screen industry contexts, histories and theories, media and cultural studies, production for screen and games, project management, realtime and offline rendering, screen industry best practices, texturing and shaders.
3D generalist, 3D or 2D animator, concept artist, motion graphics designer, storyboard artist, media industry specialist, FX artist, technical artist, 3D asset modeller, 3D character modeller, junior rigging TD, surfacing artist, junior lighting TD, production coordinator, junior assembly and layout artist, roto artist, junior matchmover and cleanup, junior compositor.
Extensive practical hands-on training with industry placed internships. This is the proven and best way for students to develop the skills and experience they need to start a successful career in the creative media industries.

Interview: In addition to applying through UAC, all applicants must undertake a telephone interview or personal interview on campus.
Identification: Applicants are required to upload documentation in their application to show proof of identification and proof of citizenship. Accepted forms of identification include a passport, driver's licence, birth certificate and/or citizenship certificate.
SAE courses do not have an ATAR requirement. Refer to the SAE general admission criteria.
