The Diploma of Engineering introduces you to the fundamental knowledge and concepts of electronics, electrical, mechanical and mechatronic engineering, as well as computing, mathematics and physics.
The diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. If you successfully complete the diploma and meet the entry requirements, you can progress directly into the second year of the following degrees without losing any time, as you’ll receive credit for the units you complete in the diploma: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with a specialisation in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering; or Bachelor of Science with a specialisation in Astronomy and Astrophysics, Mathematics or Physics.
