This hands-on degree trains you across the three core disciplines of music theatre: acting, singing, and dance. You’ll build your craft in an environment that mirrors industry standards, with intensive studio practice, performance-based projects, and mentorship from experienced creatives working in theatre, film, and TV.
From classic musicals to contemporary works and screen performance, you’ll develop the versatility needed to thrive on any stage or set. You’ll collaborate with students across JMC’s creative disciplines, working with filmmakers, designers and audio engineers to bring full productions to life, and gain real-world experience through public performances, showcases, and internships.
Acting for stage, ballet, broadway jazz, career sustainability, commercial dance, ensemble voice, entrepreneurship, musicianship, private vocal lessons, screen and new media, tap.
Music theatre performer, stage or screen actor, vocalist, voiceover artist, dance/theatre teacher, live entertainment performer, devised theatre artist, touring artist, entertainment creative.
Regular public performances and fully staged musicals, live showcases at professional venues, tv and film performance experience, gain experience in voice over and motion capture performance, cross-disciplinary collaboration with film, audio, and design students, final-year showcase and professional portfolio including showreel and headshots.

Audition: All applicants are required to attend or submit a dance, signing and acting audition to demonstrate their skills and suitability for the course.
Satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent. No ATAR required. Minimum age 17.
Interview: Once we've received your application, we'll give you a call and organise for you to come in for a consultation with one of
our student recruitment advisers. During this appointment they'll be able to confirm your application details, assess the best course &
study options for you.
