About

Our Master of Interpreting and Translation gives fluent bilinguals the theoretical background and advanced skills necessary to work as a professional interpreter or translator, with particular emphasis on legal and medical interpreting. We also deliver studies in audio-visual translation, something no other university currently offers.

Taught at our innovative Parramatta City Campus, this degree gives you the skills you need to combine travel and career opportunities, both home and abroad.

Admission criteria

  • Undergraduate degree or postgraduate qualification in any discipline.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in one of the following languages: Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Vietnamese.

Advanced standing

Applicants with an undergraduate degree or postgraduate qualification in interpreting and/or translation, or a substantial component of interpreting and/or translation in their previous studies are eligible to receive credit of 40 credit points.
