About

The Master of Construction Law (MCL) program is designed to meet the needs of construction professionals and construction lawyers from Australia and overseas. Working with lecturers who are leaders in their fields, students will have a unique opportunity to gain an advanced understanding of construction law and its interaction. This industry endorsed program is tailored for construction lawyers and other professionals working in construction, engineering and associated industries for career development in construction law.

Admission criteria

Either:

  • undergraduate Honours degree, or higher, in law or construction, or related field; or
  • Juris Doctor degree; or
  • undergraduate degree in law or construction, or related field and 2 years’ full time equivalent relevant professional work experience; or
  • undergraduate degree in law or construction, or related field and 1 year full time equivalent relevant professional work experience and successful completion of four graduate diploma subjects in law or construction or a related field.

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.

Additional Information

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee selection. A Selection Committee will consider applicants’ prior academic performance and professional experience.   

The applicant does not have to be admitted to practice as a lawyer in a jurisdiction.
