About

The Master of Property Investment and Development provides the opportunity for applicants to engage in an advanced level of study in property investment and development. This degree allows students to understand the multi-disciplinary nature of property investment and development, and to develop the analytical and decision making skills necessary for property investment and development, and property professionals.

This accredited property program has an outstanding reputation in the property industry, with many students moving into major careers in the property industry in Australia and overseas.

Admission criteria

Master of Property Investment and Development 2 year Pathway (160 credit points)

Undergraduate degree, or higher, in any discipline.

Master of Property Investment and  Development 1.5 year Pathway (120 credit points) 
Either:

  • undergraduate degree, or higher, in a business or API-recognised cognate discipline (ie property, town planning, construction or quantity surveying); or
  • undergraduate degree in any discipline and two years’ full-time equivalent managerial/professional work experience in property valuation, property management, property investment and analysis, property development, property fund management or associated roles; or
  • Graduate Certificate in Property Investment from Western Sydney University.

Master of Property Investment and  Development 1 year Pathway (80 credit points) 
Either:

  • graduate diploma, or higher, in a property related discipline; or
  • undergraduate degree in a property related discipline (such as property, town planning, construction, architecture, quantity surveying  or related); AND with a GPA of 5.0 or WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of 65+ (if provided on the academic record); or
  • undergraduate degree, or higher, in a business or Australian Property Institute (API)- recognised cognate discipline (ie town planning, construction architecture,  quantity surveying or related) and two years’ full-time equivalent managerial/professional work experience in property valuation, property management, property investment and analysis, property development, property fund management or associated roles

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service or a CV detailing the minimum requirements for all work experience listed on the application.
