About

Operations management has firm foundations in supply chain management and logistics. This degree is designed to teach you about global trends in supply chain management and prepare you for senior operations management roles in both public and private sectors.

Develop an integrated and holistic approach to operations management while gaining exposure to the latest research in sustainable practices in operations management, logistics, supply chain management and project management.

This program equips you with the necessary skills to plan, implement, upgrade and manage business operations to enhance customer value and organisational effectiveness, learning about the relationship between business processes, cost-effective practices, how to manage the effects of current and future trends in supply chain management, and use a systems approach to solve business problems with an eye to the social and environmental impact of your work.

Admission criteria

Either:

  • graduate certificate, or higher, in a business discipline; or
  • undergraduate degree in a business discipline (specifically operations management, logistics management, project management, compliance management, supply chain management, enterprise resource planning and management or purchasing and materials management or related discipline) with a GPA of 5.0 or WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of 65+ (if provided on the academic record); or
  • undergraduate degree, or higher, in any discipline and two years’ full-time equivalent managerial/professional work experience in roles facilitating operations management, logistics management, project management, compliance management, supply chain management, enterprise resource planning and management, purchasing and materials management, or related roles; or
  • undergraduate degree, or higher, in any discipline and five years’ full-time equivalent general work experience in purchasing, incoming and/or outgoing quality control, quality assurance, scheduling, estimation for quotation, warehousing, transportation, store management, merchandising, traffic management, shift management, freight, inventory management, stock control management or materials management, or related roles.

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service or CV detailing the minimum requirements for all work experience listed on the application.
