About

The Master of Medical Biotechnology is designed for students who seek knowledge and technological expertise in specific areas of cell and molecular biology, the basis for modern biotechnological research and development.

Subjects introduce the basic elements of modern cell and molecular biology before intensive training in current biotechnology and its application to medicine, agriculture and molecular biology.

Tutorials and laboratory-based practical work are offered where you can explore new technology developed in medical biotechnology. This degree is designed through the lens of global perspectives in science where you will be exposed to emerging technologies such as the use of drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and coding in science data collection and analysis, and the responsible conduct of research. The degree also integrates graduate work practice skills allowing you to translate your skills into career ready attributes.

With more than 400 biotechnology companies and some 600 medical device companies in Australia alone, graduates are highly sought after for roles in health, agriculture and diagnostics as just some examples.
