This degree is aimed at students seeking to upgrade existing finance skills or those aspiring to pursue a career within this growing field. Throughout this degree, you will learn to consider the impact of technology on banking and global payment systems, the insurance industry and trading in financial markets.

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology, students may progress into a Master of Financial Technology and be eligible for credit for the four subjects completed within the graduate certificate. Progression into other master’s programs, including the Master of Applied Finance may also be possible.
Graduates of a UOW financial technology degree may wish to pursue a career as an economist, finance manager, analyst programmer or utilise their digital financial literacy skills to enter the FinTech start-up space.

This course will be offered as a Commonwealth supported place (CSP). This means the Australian government will subsidise your tuition fees by up to 75%. To be eligible for this fee subsidy, you must meet the following criteria: Be a domestic student, i.e. an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia or a permanent Australian Humanitarian visa holder.
