The Master of Theology is an advanced AQF9 degree taught by the Catholic Institute of Sydney and accredited by the University of Notre Dame Australia. It is available in three different streams to graduates of AQF7 degrees in Theology. The Research Stream provides students with advanced theoretical knowledge in one discipline or field and prepares students for higher studies in that area. The Practice of Ministry Stream allows students in the Graduate Certificate in the Practice of Ministry a transfer pathway to master’s studies that supplement their studies with independent research in Practical Ministry. The General Studies stream allows students who hold an AQF7 qualification in Theology, of sufficient standing, to undertake advanced coursework in theology across the disciplines without the necessity of specialization or thesis.
To be eligible for admission, all applicants need to satisfy
minimum requirements outlined at admission requirements. These include those relating to age and English Language Proficiency.
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Theology
applicants must also meet the following specific
requirements.
