About

The Master of Sacred Theology (STM) is an advanced AQF9 degree taught by the Catholic Institute of Sydney and accredited by the University of Notre Dame Australia. It is designed to provide students with highly advanced knowledge and research expertise in a theological discipline. The Master of Sacred Theology is focused equally on advanced coursework and a research thesis. Graduates of the S.T.M. will possess a mastery of communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to produce a major piece of academic research demonstrating sustained argumentation and research skills. Competence in research languages other than English is encouraged in the program. The Master of Sacred Theology serves as a pathway to further advanced study or as a means of developing specialized knowledge in a discipline of theology that enables students to act as a theological resource for their Christian community.
