About

This program is designed to prepare midwifery students to become competent, safe, woman-centred registered midwives. Midwifery students will utilise the best current evidence-based research to substantiate learning essential clinical skills in the context of contemporary practice. The program incorporates existing and emerging national and regional health priorities, health research, health policy and reform.

Midwifery students in NSW will have professional practice placements within the paid employment model through MidStart.

Admission criteria

Undergraduate degree in Nursing or the equivalent and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
