About

Completion of a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, with a major study area in a discipline area of the Secondary school curriculum, and preferably, a second teaching area comprising at least a minor study and demonstrate suitability for teaching by completion of the non-academic requirements for teacher entry as part of the admissions process.

Demonstrate English language proficiency by having completed a bachelor’s degree in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada or the Republic of Ireland, or completing an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assessment, or an equivalent English language proficiency assessment. Required IELTS scores are a minimum overall score of 7.5, with no score lower than 8.0 in speaking and listening, and no score lower than 7.0 in reading and writing.

Admission criteria

  • This award is only available to those who hold a relevant bachelor degree from a recognised higher education provider.
  • Education students who have English as an Additional language and are admitted on the basis of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assessment, or an equivalent English language proficiency assessment, are only admitted if they have attained a minimum overall score of 7.5 in IELTS Academic, with no score lower than 8.0 in speaking and listening, and no score lower than 7.0 in reading and writing.
