About

Are you a graduate who would like to become a primary school teacher? This Master of Primary Teaching will allow you to teach in public, independent and Catholic schools across Australia. The program is highly flexible and will therefore suit the needs of students who have work and family commitments, with many classes taught in the evenings and on weekends.

Admission criteria

  • Completion of a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, with at least one year of full-time equivalent study relevant to one or more learning areas of the Australian primary school curriculum. And Demonstrate suitability for teaching by completion of the non-academic requirements for teacher entry as part of the admissions process.
  • Education students who have English as an Additional language and are admitted on the basis of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assessment, or an equivalent English language proficiency assessment, are only admitted if they have attained a minimum overall score of 7.5 in IELTS Academic, with no score lower than 8.0 in speaking and listening, and no score lower than 7.0 in reading and writing.
