About

In this double degree, you will be able to combine:

Master of Criminology: This course will develop your skills in advanced criminology theory, applied criminological research and criminal justice policy analysis. As a graduate you'll use your knowledge drawn from fields including sociology, psychology, psychiatry and social anthropology to better understand, measure and evaluate crime.

Master of International Trade and Commerce Law: In this course, you'll extend your knowledge of the legal, governance and policy issues relevant to international and domestic trade and commerce so that you develop a broad and well-rounded understanding of the area, as well as skills to advance your career.

Admission criteria

One of the following:

  • Australian level 8 bachelor honours or graduate diploma qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent; or

meet two of these three criteria:

  • Australian level 7 bachelor qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent
  • minimum two years of relevant approved work experience at senior management level, professional certification or other recognised prior learning
  • Australian level 7 bachelor qualification or recognised equivalent with a Weighted Average Mark of 65, and
  • meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements.

Relevant experience

In international trade and commerce law: Professional experience includes experience in a
legal position (working in a law firm or in government drafting policies, law clerk, judge, judge's associate, drafting policies or supporting legal work).

In criminology: Police Force, Customs/Border Force and law (seniority: Police – Senior Sergeant (equiv) or above), Public Service APS 5 (equiv) or above.
