Embark on an extraordinary journey into the dynamic area of sport business operations with ACPE’s Graduate Certificate in Sport Operations Management.
Developed in close consultation with industry experts, this postgraduate course offers an authentic student experience, combining advanced academic education in relevant fields with extensive practical knowledge from seasoned sports professionals. This course focuses on the practical operation of sporting organisations.
This course may be suitable for:
- Professionals already working in the sport industry looking for additional education to improve their career prospects
- Professionals from other industries who want to switch to a career in sport
- People currently working in sport, such as athletes or coaches, who may not have the necessary qualifications for management roles
- Directors or committee members of sport organisations who want to enhance their skills to better contribute to their organisation.
Target roles include: Business Operations Manager, Chief Operations Officer, Facility Manager, Deputy Chief Operations Officer.
The course can be completed in less than three months via full-time online study, with part-time study also an option, to assist students in balancing work or other commitments. Each unit will run over a 10-week period (a session). The course is delivered fully online, providing flexibility to tailor your study to your individual timetables. Academics will also be available for one-to-one discussion and support.
Admission criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised higher education provider or an equivalent recognised overseas qualification with demonstrated proficiency in English; or
- An Associate Diploma, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma from a recognised provider qualification, combined with at least two years of industry experience (you are required to provide a resume and a reference from an employer confirming your employment and experience, together with a personal statement about your readiness for undertaking higher education studies).
