Target roles include: General Manager (Sport), Chief Operations Officer , Sport Membership Manager, Club Development Manager and Coaching and/or Officials Manager.

What sets this course apart is the perfect blend of theoretical management knowledge and its application to the sport industry. The final unit of the course allows students to design an industry project, to channel the results of their studies to investigate a management issue at the sporting organisation of their choice. Our experienced faculty, comprising industry experts and professionals, provides students with real-world case studies, encouraging them to apply ethical theories to complex scenarios in sports.

The course can be completed in less than six months via full-time online study. Part-time study is also an option, to assist students in balancing work or other commitments. Each unit will run over a 10-week period (a session). The units are delivered online providing flexibility for you to balance work and study commitments. Academics will also be available for one-to-one discussion and support.

Admission criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised higher education provider or an equivalent recognised overseas qualification with demonstrated proficiency in English; or
  • An Associate Diploma, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma from a recognised provider qualification, combined with at least two years of industry experience (you are required to provide a resume and a reference from an employer confirming your employment and experience, together with a personal statement about your readiness for undertaking higher education studies).
