About

The Master of Professional Psychology is the fifth of the six years professional training required for general registration as a psychologist in Australia.

After this course, you can complete a one-year Psychology Board of Australia approved internship or the Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychological Practice to fulfil your training requirements.

Admission criteria

Applicants must have successfully completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Level 1 and 2 qualification within the past 10 years (with a GPA of 5.5 or above in the Level 2 qualification) and be eligible for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a psychologist. Applicants must also demonstrate personal and professional suitability for post-graduate training in psychology.

The admissions process will include:

  • Submission of an application form and CV
  • Provision of two professional referees
  • Participation in an interview
