Receiving your offer
If you're successful, you'll receive an offer via email. Follow the instructions in your offer email. You will also be able to view your offer in your application. If you're not made an offer, you'll receive a notice advising you that your application was unsuccessful.
If you have a query regarding your offer, contact Western Sydney University on 1300 897 669 or via email.
Why preferences matter
You can only receive one offer from Western per offer round. That offer will be to the first course in your list of preferences for which you're eligible and competitive enough. Therefore, if you're including more than one course in your list of preferences, list them in the order in which you'd like to receive an offer.
Offers to lower-level courses
Western reserves the right to make an offer to a lower level of study than you've applied for. For example, if you make an application to a Bachelor program and are assessed as not eligible for the course, we may determine that you are eligible for a Diploma in the same area of study.
Similarly, if you make an application to a Masters program and are assessed as not eligible for the course, we may determine that you're eligible for the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in the same area.
Upon successful completion of the lower level course, you can articulate into the relevant Degree, Graduate Diploma or Masters course. In most instances Advanced Standing will be granted for the study in the first course undertaken.
Deferring
You can defer your offer and course commencement for a maximum of 12 months. Please refer to ‘How to defer my offer’ for more information.
