Main Round (January Round 2)

Most offers were made in the Main Round on Wednesday 20 January 2016 when all institutions try to make enough offers to fill the places they have available.

All applicants and all preferences were considered in the Main Round and UAC’s institutions made over 44,000 offers.

February Round 1 offers can be accessed from 6pm on Tuesday 2 February 2016 on this website. Follow the online instructions and make sure you have your UAC application number and UAC PIN ready.

Remember that many courses have early closing dates for applying and providing documents. Check the course descriptions through the course search before you apply or change your preferences.

What happens if I don’t receive an offer in the Main Round?

If you aren’t made an offer, you'll be sent an email advising you to check your correspondence via Check & Change. The correspondence will detail why you have been unsuccessful for each preference. Wait until you have read your letter before seeking advice from the institution.

UAC can’t give you any further information other than that in the letter. Contact the relevant institution for further advice on your study options.

You can also visit 'Offer eligibility' in Check & Change after each offer cound to see why you have been unsuccessful for each preference.

Your preferences will automatically be considered in the same order in subsequent rounds. To be considered for other courses for study, however, you must change your preferences through Check & Change.

Alternative study options

When you apply, you'll be asked if you would like to receive information about alternative study options should your application be unsuccessful. If you select ‘Yes’, at the end of major offer rounds (such as the Main Round for semester 1 and June Round 2 for semester 2) you may be contacted by institutions (including some not included in your preferences) with details of other available study options. You can opt out of receiving this information through Check & Change.
