Main Round
Most offers are made in the Main Round, when all institutions try to make enough offers to fill the places they have available. Institutions made more than 55 000 offers in the Main Round in 2009.
All applicants and all preferences are considered in the Main Round.
Apply by Friday 11 December 2009 and provide all documents by Friday 15 January 2010 to guarantee consideration in the Main Round.
A letter will be sent to you whether or not you receive an offer in this round. If you’ve already applied, you can change your preferences for the Main Round until Wednesday 6 January 2010.
Read the changing preferences FAQs.

What happens if I don’t receive an offer in the Main Round?
If you aren’t made an offer, we’ll send you a letter to explain why your application was unsuccessful. Wait until you have received your letter before seeking advice. We can’t give you any further information other than that in the letter. Contact the relevant institution for further advice on your study options. Your preferences will automatically be considered in the same order in the Early February Round.
To change the order of your preferences or be considered for other courses in the Early February Round, you must change your preferences through Online applicant services.
