About
With the growing need to understand fire safety engineering principles, this program is relevant to professionals developing alternative solutions using the National Construction Code (NCC) (Australian Building Codes Board) and the Fire Engineering Guidelines.
This program provides the special skills and knowledge to develop, assess and evaluate fire safety engineering solutions for the built environment
Admission criteria
Either:
- undergraduate degree, or higher, in any field of engineering or engineering science and two years’ full-time equivalent professional work experience in construction management, building surveying or fire systems design, or
- diploma, or higher, in any field of engineering or engineering science, building, construction management, building surveying, fire systems design, architecture or physical sciences and five years’ full-time equivalent professional work experience in construction management, building surveying, fire systems design (fire protection) or a State fire service.
Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
