^ The annual tuition fees listed are indicative fees for study in Year 1, in the 2024 calendar year only. Fees are based on a full-time student enrolment load of 48 credit points per year, or 1.0 Equivalent Full-Time Student Load (1.0 EFTSL). If your study load for the year is more or less than 1.0 EFTSL, your tuition fee will differ. Importantly, tuition fees are subject to annual review by the University, and will increase each calendar year of your study, effective at the start of each calendar year. For students enrolling in a combined degree, in most cases a single course tuition fee applies for the duration of your study in the combined degree, regardless of the units of study that are selected in each of the two qualifications (eg a B Arts and B Laws). Importantly, the indicative tuition fee listed for Year 1, 2024 is subject to annual review and will increase each year of your study in the combined degree. About

This course gives you a professional qualification to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) and a second teaching area in secondary schools. There is a strong focus on educational leadership. Graduates will demonstrate interpersonal and teaching skills and can act as a role model of health-enhancing behaviour. Students wishing to undertake research have an opportunity to complete honours.

This course is full-time study, daytime only.

Health education, physical education plus a second teaching area. The second teaching area may include Indigenous studies; Biology; Business studies; Chemistry; Commerce; Drama; Economics; English; Geography; History; Languages; Mathematics.

Teacher in secondary schools (Years 7–12); careers in corporate training and human resources settings, community health, coaching, recreation and sport.

Practical experience

Supervised teaching practice and an internship in secondary schools totalling 80 days over the duration of the four years of study, plus 140 hours of service learning and relevant community engagement to supplement your professional experience placements in schools.

Band 5 in three HSC subjects (or equivalent) one of which must be English (English Standard, English Advanced or English as a Second Language/English as an Additional Language or Dialect)
