In the Bachelor of Science component of this degree, you’ll combine a major in the discipline of your first teaching subject with a second science teaching subject. The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) component provides you with the equivalent of two years full-time professional study. You’ll be taught by academics who are researching the latest approaches to teaching and learning, and science. Macquarie is a leader in educational research, particularly in the areas of information and communication technology, and maths and science.

Admission criteria

Applicants with recent secondary education

Assumed knowledge: For astronomy and astrophysics, mathematics and physics majors:
Mathematics Advanced (Band 4). If you haven’t met the required minimum level of achievement (Band 4), you can undertake an alternative introductory unit of study in that area.

Recommended studies: Mathematics Advanced, at least 2 units of science. For astronomy and astrophysics, mathematics and physics majors: Physics. For mathematics major: Mathematics Extension 1 (Band E2) or Mathematics Extension 2.
