At La Trobe, our accounting curriculum has been designed in collaboration with industry partners.

In our Bachelor of Accounting, you’ll gain the technical and human skills you need to adapt and thrive in our era of digital transformation.

You’ll develop vital skills in accounting, information systems, finance, economics, management and data analytics tools. You’ll also build a deep understanding of financial accounting, business law, management accounting, auditing and assurance, forensic accounting and taxation.

At the Sydney campus, students have the option of fast-tracking their studies to complete their degree in two years.

Admission criteria

Applicants with recent secondary education

Subject adjustments: Applicants who successfully complete one of the following HSC or equivalent Year 12 subjects will have their selection rank increased by one point per study:

  • Band 4 in English as an Additional Language or Dialect
  • Band 3 in Business Studies, Economics, English Standard, English Advanced, Financial Services, Legal Studies, Mathematics Standard 2, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 2
  • Band 2 in any language other than English.

Selection ranks can be increased by a maximum of five points.
