The Diploma of Business (Fashion and Global Brand Management) is designed to equip students with business skills, combined with an introduction into the exciting, trillion-dollar fashion industry.

Aimed at meeting the growing demand for qualified entry-level graduates within the Australian fashion and retail sector, the Diploma of Business (Fashion and Global Brand Management) produces professionals who are confident, competent and capable of taking their place in a competitive global environment.

This qualification will equip you with industry-relevant skills and knowledge for a successful career in fashion and retail management. You will develop an understanding of the fundamentals of business – and have the practical skills for an immediate contribution to the specialised area of fashion.

The Diploma of Business (Fashion and Global Brand Management) is a one-year qualification, which can be completed in just eight months.

This is a stand-alone diploma qualification delivered through the Aspire Institute. Should you wish to further your studies, you could choose to use your diploma qualification as a pathway into the second year of a Bachelor of Business (Fashion and Global Brand Management) at the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS).

Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Business you will receive advanced standing for subjects which are part of a bachelor degree at ICMS.

All Aspire diploma students are part of the greater ICMS student community, with lectures held at our Northern Beaches campus or at our new City campus, subject to availability. Aspire students receive dedicated academic support, including study skills.

Admission criteria

Applicants with recent secondary education

Aspire does not use ATAR selection ranks for admissions.

Recommended studies: Completion of Australian Year 12 (or equivalent).

Interview: A personal application interview may be required.

Applicants with higher education study

A completed higher education qualification or a minimum of four completed undergraduate subjects (an equivalent of 12 ICMS credit points) or equivalent.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study

A completed Certificate IV or above (or equivalent).

Applicants with work and life experience

Must demonstrate ability to undertake study at this level with evidence of relevant work experience such as CV/resume with at least two reference letters. Or, formal, informal or non-formal study, completed or partially completed, demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success.
