About

The Bachelor of Exercise Science/Bachelor of Business Administration double degree is ideal for the student interested in the role of exercise in health, wellbeing and performance, and who would also like to gain business knowledge to start or grow a business in the future. Within the Bachelor of Exercise Science students will gain extensive knowledge of how the human body works, with a specific focus on the role of exercise in health, wellbeing and performance. The addition of the Bachelor of Business Administration provides students with commercial knowledge and understanding - including accounting, finance, marketing and business law - with only one additional year of study.

Career opportunities

Recreation or sporting clubs, physical activity planning for young people or the elderly, corporate health and fitness, family and community services, the health and fitness industry, government agencies, state sporting associations, rehabilitation clinics, personal training.

Professional recognition

Graduates may be eligible for membership with the Australian Council of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

Practical experience

Students undertake 140 hours of volunteer experience with a community-based organisation  in their final year. Partner organisations are selected on the basis of how they engage communities within organised, professional frameworks. Before students begin professional experience for this course, they should review the mandatory state or territory legal and industry policy requirements. Honours

Honours programs are available as an additional year to meritorious students who wish to undertake an independent research project.
