About
The Bachelor of Health Science Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation is a flexible and innovative degree that equips graduates with qualifications to help improve the health of individuals and populations. It is a broad field of practice, based on the application of scientific principles in governmental and non-governmental health services and the wider industry.
Taking a transdisciplinary approach, the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation utilises multiple perspectives from diverse fields, integrating a range of industry experiences, real-world projects and self-initiated proposals, equipping graduates to address the problems, complex challenges and untapped opportunities today's world experiences.
Areas of study
Global health, health promotion, human structure and function, Indigenous health, public health. Students can tailor choices to suit their needs from subject areas such as business, contemporary health issues, epidemiology and global health, health promotion, public health, management, sport and exercise.
Career opportunities
Career options include positions in health promotion, epidemiology, advocacy, health education, e-health, health data and information management systems, planning and policy, project management and evaluation, community development, research and consultancy across both public and private health sectors, physiotherapy (pathway).

Applicants with recent secondary education
Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English.
Other applicants
Statement of service: Applicants are advised to complete the employment question on their UAC application and provide statements of service to UAC, as an adjustment of up to five points to their selection rank may be awarded on the basis of relevant employment experience. Applicants must meet the UTS minimum matriculation requirements in order for their employment experience to be assessed, and their documented employment experience must be at least one full-time year or greater.
Optional aptitude assessment: UTS Science believes that some applicants may have an aptitude for scientific study that is not reflected in their HSC results. The aptitude assessment is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their potential, and possibly secure an offer to study at UTS Science. The assessment is designed to assess applicants’ analytical and critical thinking skills. Much like the STAT test, it is not a knowledge-based assessment and there is no need to study for it. Applicants who wish to commence study can register to participate in the UTS Science Aptitude test.
Taking this assessment does not mean applicants are guaranteed to receive an offer from UTS Science.

Diploma enrolment is by direct application once at UTS.
