About
The Bachelor of Sport is designed for students passionate about sports and exercise and explores their role in teaching, coaching, and healthy lifestyles.
Throughout this degree, you will be equipped with the work-ready skills and knowledge to engage with a range of sporting environments, including coaching, game development, sports management and operations, and sports program delivery. You will pair these studies with a major or minor of your choosing, allowing you to shape a unique career in sports based on your own strengths and interests.
Majors can be selected from those available in the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Science, and Bachelor of Business. Other majors may be selected in consultation with the Academic Program Director.
Throughout your studies, you will study several career-ready learning subjects that will help you identify and pursue career goals and opportunities, including internships.
Students who wish to qualify to teach in schools should apply for 755101 Bachelor of Health and Physical Education.
Areas of study
Biomechanics, coaching, game analysis, game development, human movement, pedagogy (education). Students also take a major from a diverse range of options, allowing them to tailor their degree to their interests.
Career opportunities
Coaching, game development, management, operations and program delivery in community, private, professional or government sporting organisations in Australia or abroad, program development and delivery in the health and disability sector.
Practical experience
Work integrated learning is embedded in each year of the course. You will identify career goals and opportunities early in the course, develop work ready skills, and conduct a placement in the final year of the course.

Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English
Recommended studies: Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE).
