Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)/Bachelor of Business

Understand human behaviour; how and why people think, feel, act and grow the way they do in the context of today's business environment when you study psychology and business at UOW. You will scientifically study the human mind and its functions, and how they influence behaviour as you develop real-world, in-demand business skills. Enhancing your educational, academic and professional qualifications, double degrees allow you to gain two degrees at once, minimising both the time commitment and cost of your studies.

What underlies the physiological, sensory, and cognitive processes of the human experience? What does the future of business look like? On completion, you will be able to answer these questions and apply your knowledge of psychological principles across a wide range of business areas.

You will learn core fundamental knowledge across practical and theoretical subjects in the first year of your degree before deciding which major/minor disciplines to focus on from the second year. You will learn how the practice of psychology is influenced by social, historical, professional and cultural contexts, and learn about marketing, finance, accounting and management.

Throughout this double degree, you will gain hands-on experience and make meaningful professional connections across the broader field using integrated learning methods.

You will earn provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and be provided a route to Postgraduate coursework or research degrees in Psychology, as well as ample opportunities to build your networks and professional connections.

Professional recognition

Bachelor of Psychology (Honours): Accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council for provisional registration as a psychologist. Honours

Bachelor of Psychology (Honours): Inbuilt into the final year of the degree. Honours subjects cover principles and applications, theory and methods, and an empirical thesis, which is undertaken throughout the entire honours year. Bachelor of Business: Available as an additional year of study to meritorious students.
